Established in 2002, G70 Foun- dation was created by em- ployees of Hawai‘i’s leading design firm, G70, as the company’s philanthropic arm. Since its inception, the foundation has donated more than $750,000 to nonprofit groups statewide that have dedicated their missions to improving communities in Hawai‘i through design, education, culture, en- vironmental sustainability and commu- nity development. The foundation is a donor-advised fund of Hawai‘i Commu- nity Foundation, with G70 employees directly participating in the selection of awardees over the years.

This year, G70 Foundation launched a scholarship for Hawai‘i students. The scholarship provides a multiyear tuition scholarship and mentorship for local high school seniors majoring in archi- tecture, interior design, civil engineering or planning. Our goal as a company is to assist qualified students until the com- pletion of their degree through scholar- ship assistance and summer internship opportunities.

To qualify for the scholarship, an ap- plicant must be a Hawai‘i high school senior graduating this year. They must also demonstrate financial need, in- volvement in the community and inter- est in G70’s disciplines.
