“We are thankful for their determination and commitment to the com- munity of ‘Aiea,” Distiso explains.
“As the community grew, this center has per- severed with the support of the surrounding neigh- borhoods,” Distiso shares. “You can dine, do your banking and grocery shop- ping, get a haircut and more. The ‘mini mall’ on the second floor offers a variety of medical services; the addition of McDonald’s and its drive-thru in 1984 was huge; but we also have great locally owned restau- rants for any craving.
Like many businesses here in Hawai‘i and around the world, the shopping center and its tenants had to deal with and are still facing challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
