Honolulu residents who renewed their driver’s licenses in February should check for a misprinted credential. Ac- cording to the Hawai‘i De- partment of Transportation, the word “Hawaii” on those cards was printed in the wrong font due to an error by the cards’ vendor. Law enforcement agencies are aware of the issue and have agreed to treat the misprints as valid. Still, the City & County of Honolulu says it plans to contact the 1,684 in- dividuals affected on O‘ahu and mail them replacement credentials. Those with questions or concerns are urged to contact their local Department of Motor Vehi- cles office ... A head’s up for Honolulu residents about a scam targeting Instagram users. AARP Hawai‘i says once fraudsters hack an ac- count, they’ll send a mes- sage to its followers asking for help in becoming an in- fluencer. Whoever replies and follows instructions to “verify” the account is then
