I’m Dr. Paul Norio Morton, and if you or someone you care about is suffering from knee or hip pain, you can make 2023 the year you get back out there, living an active life and doing all those things you love.
I specialize in hips and knees, and focus on joint reconstruction, joint preservation and salvage pro- cedures. I prefer minimally-invasive approaches, and am well-versed in modern adult reconstruction techniques including partial knee replacements and robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements. I am the first Orthopedic Surgeon in Hawai‘i who is Fellow- ship-trained in Robotic Joint Replacement. Some of my patients have even nicknamed me “The Robot Doc” which makes me smile because I love robot- ics! I believe robotic surgery is more precise, less invasive, has fewer complications, and will get my patients back out there feeling pain-free faster. But, although I use the latest technology, I still believe in good, old-fashioned, friendly and personalized care for each of my patients.

Zimmer Biomet (“ZB”) and Canary Medical received FDA approval to market the world’s first and only Smart Knee Implant - the Persona IQ® Knee Im- plant, in 2021, in combination with Canary Medical’s proprietary implantable canturioTM te tibial extension sensor technology that measures and determines range of motion, step count, walking speed and other gait metrics.
