Dr. Lee Buenconse- jo-Lum was appointed act- ing dean of JABSOM. She will serve in that capacity from Jan. 1 to Feb. 28. Then, effective March 1, she will be interim dean of JABSOM through the end of 2023. She replaces Dr. Jerris Hedges who announced he would be retiring ... Todd Takayama is the new president of First Insurance Co. of Hawai‘i, which is headquartered in Honolulu. He will oversee underwriting, claims, legal issues, marketing and fi- nance. He was previously chief underwriting officer at the company. Takayama joined FICOH’s underwriting division in 2010 as manager and has held roles of increas- ing responsibility through the years ...
