Keiki Art Captures Kindness

Two Kaimukī Christian School students won first place in the 2022 Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation Es- say, Poster, Digital Media Poster and Video Contest at a live ceremony at Kāha-
la Mall on Feb. 22. Sev- enth-grader Adelyn Shelver- ton and ninth-grader Tytus Ahn were each awarded a $200 cash prize; Shelverton won in the poster category for her “Acts of Kindness”
creation and Ahn’s “Kind- ness Through Music” won in the essay category. Their teachers, Joyce Abille-Taka- hashi and JoAnna Fong were also recognized at the awards program.
