hose seeking unique gift items and eco-friendly homeware, look no fur- ther than Every Day Better by Green
Meadows in Kaimukī. With everything from candles, jewelry, face masks, rugs and cut- ting boards, the store carries items from around the world as well as from fellow lo- cal businesses. Open since November 2019, owner Katie Meadows is a Kaimukī resident who still lives in the neighborhood with her husband and two middle-school-aged daugh- ters. The whole ‘ohana frequently pitches in to help with the store, making it a true family venture.
Popular items include handmade soap bars, local handmade ceramics and a se- lection of vintage wool rugs from Turkey. Meadows carefully curates items that are plastic free and made from natural materials.
“I look for cute and practical items that are sustainably sourced and have a relatively low impact on the environment. It’s hard to find things that fit the criteria perfectly but I try to make the best choices that I can,” she says.
