Pupils from the col- lege’s New Media Arts pro- gram received 18 out of 19 awards, including winning Best of Show for the fifth year in a row. Michael Har- rell snagged the prestigious award for his Extended Play Bar website. Additionally, Harrell received a $1,000 cash scholarship and a Na- tional Silver Recognition in the college division at the finals competition of the American Advertising Awards.
Harrell also took home two Pele Gold awards and a Pele Silver award. Other KCC students that earned awards include Anthony
Pele Gold winners in all national categories are sent to the national finals of the ADDYs competition to rep- resent Hawai‘i’s District 13.
