Groups Receive Grants To Support Environmental Efforts
Hawaiian Electric has awarded grants totaling $77,000 to seven environmental and conservation nonprofits. One of
those organizations is Protect & Preserve Hawai‘i, which works to restore 330 acres of forest in the Niu Valley area using Hawaiian cultural plants that will increase habitat for endangered species, sequester carbon, increase the water quality of Maunalua Bay and more.
