ince its creation in 1935, the Wahiawā Community & Business Association has played a major role in the area
by helping and supporting local businesses, while also disseminating vital information on developments in and around Wahiawā.
According to president Micah Benavitz, clubs, organizations, businesses and indi- viduals can become members of the asso- ciation. The group aims to contribute to the area’s continued rejuvenation and growth of the former plantation town.
The area formerly known as the “Pine- apple Capital of the World” and currently known as “Gateway to the Country” offers a diverse blend of residential and commer- cial developments flanked by Schofield Barracks Military Reservation.
“The mission of WCBA is to promote and enhance the Wahiawā community by stimulating economic growth and fostering cooperative relationships while preserving its rich heritage,” Benavitz says.
