Helemano Elementary School Counselor Is Named Best In The Entire State

She has spearheaded activ- ities such as quarterly kick- off treats and room service for the staff and provided weekly ‘Mindful Moments’ to remind the staff to focus on their well-being during these challenging circum- stances,” Muh elaborates. “Despite the difficulties brought on by the pandemic last year, she also willing- ly mentored a counseling intern. This mentoring has continued as the intern is currently a first year coun- selor at our school.
“Our school counselor is an indispensable resource to our school in providing an excellent counseling program, a fierce devotion to students and teachers, and an innovative method of vastly advancing the so- cial and emotional needs of our students,” Muh states in his nomination letter.
Among just a few of her multitude of accomplish- ments, she created a coun- seling handbook, and she seeks to share the achieve- ments made at our school with other counselors, Muh explains.
