t. John Apostle & Evangelist Cath- olic Church in Mililani will mark a major milestone soon, with the cele-
bration of its 50th Jubilee on Aug. 14. Bishop Larry Silva will install the new pastor, the Rev. Anthony Rapozo, at the 5 p.m. Mass, which will be followed by a re-
ception with church members.
“I have been a parishioner of at least 45
of those 50 years and can say that we have grown to be one of the anchor establishments here in Mililani,” explains Laleen Ramiscal.
She adds that St. John’s, located at 95-370 Kuahelani Ave., has more than 45 ministries serving many needs of the congregation.
“Our parish does outreach on a regular basis ... food distribution by our Knights of Columbus and stewardship commission on the last Tuesday of each month, and many others minister to the homebound and the homeless,” she explains.
They have partnered with Hawai‘i Food- bank and Alea Bridge to distribute large
