Windward Sushi Shop Reopens

Genki Sushi at Windward City Shopping Center will be back in business Friday — with more than just cosmetic upgrades.

The franchise will introduce the “Bullet Express” ordering and delivery system, already in place at the Ala Moana, Aina Haina and Waikele branches, to Kaneohe. Customers now can order their sushi via a touchscreen menu, and orders will be sent directly from kitchen to table via two railed “bullet trains.”

But traditional kaiten (“revolving”) sushi fans can rest assured that Genki Sushi will continue to run an assortment of plates on a third conveyer belt.

Store hours are still 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The shopping center is located at 45-480 Kaneohe Bay Drive.
