The new store, at 25,500-square-feet, is more than double the size of its Sand Island location, which has served Hawaii and Pacific region customers since 1997.
West Marine caters to the saltwater fishing, sailing and powerboat communities, and also offers large sections of inflatable, dinghy and marine electronics. There also is a spectacular fishing department for offshore and onshore saltwater anglers, including several selections of local fishing, tackle, lure heads and bait.
In addition to the latest gear and equipment, the store also has a knowledgeable staff. According to store manager Susan Lynch, collectively their team of associates have 697 years of boating, sailing and fishing experience, and have cruised 210,000 nautical miles.
