Wellness Expo At Leilehua High

The Wahiawa Center for Community Health will sponsor a wellness expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 24 at Leilehua High School cafeteria.

Health care professionals will offer free diabetes retinal screenings, vision testing, blood pressure checks, kidney function tests, glucose testing, lung function testing and hepatitis C screenings.

Roz Pascua, one of the expo’s organizers, said the event is part of a grant to build a community health center in the area.

The free event also will offer information on women’s cancer issues, medication management, native Hawaiian approaches to health, caregiving assistance and senior mental health lectures. Students from Leilehua’s health academy will assist professionals and the patients.
