Walton’s ‘Facade’ In Tresemble Repertoire
Chamber Music Hawaii’s Tresemble will play William Walton’s Facade – An Entertainment for Six Instruments, at 7:30 p.m. May 14 at Paliku Theatre.
Conducted by Jeffrey Boeckman, the work debuted in 1923 and also features Edith Sitwell’s poetry, recited by Maya Hoover and Rachel Schutz. Also on the program is Mozart’s Oboe Quartet K 370 with oboist J. Scott Janusch and Galliard String Quartet players.
A “tresemble” refers to a combined ensemble of mixed instrumentation.
