Waipahu Holiday Parade, Fun
Waipahu Town Center hosts a twoday Christmas extravaganza Friday and Saturday for its 2012 Christmas Parade and Carnival.
The event kicks off from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday with keiki carnival rides and food booths. Carnival rides cost $1, and an unlimited number of rides are available with a $5 wristband. The fun continues Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. In addition to rides and food booths, Saturday’s festivities also include free keiki ID cards and free game booths from 2 to 8 p.m. The parade takes place from 3 to 3:45 p.m. from Waipahu District Park to the town center.
Also starting at 3 p.m. are free entertainment, pony rides and a petting zoo. From 4 to 7 p.m., children from neighboring schools including August Ahrens Elementary and New Hope Christian Elementary will treat guests to a Christmas Songfest Program.
