Waimanalo Pumpkin Farm Has Live Nativity
Waimanalo Country Farms has barely finished the pumpkin harvest, and here comes Christmas.
The Kadooka family farm will offer a Live Nativity show this month with a “country Christmas on the farm” theme for the public. The show is free and will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Dec. 19, with seating from 5:30 to 7 p.m.; and at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Dec. 20, with seating from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
The farm also plans day activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the two Saturdays, including caroling hayrides, animals, snowball cannon shot, snow tunnel, wreath-making, cookie decorating and jingle cow train rides.
A country store will offer baked goods, snacks, Nalo-made lemonade and much more. And yes, Shawn Kadooka pointed out, they still have some pumpkins: “They are painted gold and are beautiful Christmas decorations,” he said.
Waimanalo Country Farms is located at 41-225 Lupe St., across from Waimanalo Beach Park. Parking is free. For more information, call 306-4381.
