Drummer Martin H. Samuel waxed nostalgic after reading last year’s Islander story about a reunion party for Kailua bands. Kaneohe’s Debra Tangonan is now vice president and Kaneohe branch manager for Central Pacific Bank, where she’s worked since 1976 … Kahaluu’s Jacob Lockwood, a recent homeschool graduate, was nominated by U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
