The 42 children at Malama Honua public charter school in Waimanalo signed the pledge Nov. 5 to care for the environment and support Hokule’a’s current worldwide voyage — and they had some very good company. Kauai Police Commission recently named Kaneohe native Dustin Broad Employee of the Month.
