Visit Mall’s ‘Evolution Of Fear’ — If You Dare

Windward Mall is welcoming ghosts and their ilk – along with customers, of course – for nearly the entire month of October.

Scare Hawaii’s “Evolution of Fear” haunted house will be up and running starting this Friday night.

Promised are 29 “factors of fear,” complete with special effects, Hollywood makeup and tactics that “will bring one’s greatest fears to life.”

Also in the mix: graphic scenes, loud noises, music, startle effects with creepy characters, screams and three claustrophobia areas.

Located in the Sears wing on the upper level, the haunted house will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 4-6, 11-13, 18-20 and 23-31. Hours also are 6 to 9 p.m. weekdays, noon to 9 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $12 or $20 for a fast pass.
