Kailua girl turned supermodel Michelle Vawer was pictured in the April 2 issue of US Weekly in its page 4 ‘Red Carpet Who Wore It Best?’ feature. The swimsuit model who was recently featured in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue, is wearing the black Stella McCartney ‘Lucia’ dress and got the most votes (36 percent) over BET host Rocsi Diaz (21 percent), actress Kate Winslet (16 percent), producer and Colin Firth’s wife Livia Giuggioli (15 percent), reality TV mom Kris Jenner (9 percent), TV anchor Jamie Colby (2 percent) and actress Susan Sarandon (1 percent). US Weekly polled 100 people in New York City’s Rockefeller Center.

New Hilo Hattie Store

Hilo Hattie announces the opening of its newest store, Hilo Hattie Kamaaina Collection, at Ala Moana Center in early May after the closing of its current Hilo Hattie store, located street level next to Old Navy, later this month.

The 1,920-square-foot space is located on the mauka side of the mall adjacent to Barnes & Noble Booksellers and will showcase unique island lifestyle products, including men’s and women’s fashions, home decor, fashion accessories, bath and beauty products and gourmet foods.
