The 47th annual University of Hawaii Senior Fashion Show takes place Sunday, April 28, at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa featuring the collections of seven senior designers and designs by 13 junior designers, all from the school’s Apparel Product Design and Merchandising program.
This year’s show, Zeitgeist: Spirit of the Times, also will feature three special segments – Renewable Energy, featuring wearable technology such as LED lights, EL wire and glow fabric; Ecobilan, focusing on sustainable fashion using sun dyeing with natural materials such as flowers, plants and vegetables; and Blistering Magnetism, showing fashions with a modern abstract concept, such as bold colors.
