Tryouts For ‘Waipahu Project’

The Leeward Theatre holds auditions for The Waipahu Project Feb. 27 and March 1 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at its main stage.

This idea came about thanks to a collaboration between PlayBuilders of Hawaii Theatre Company, The Leeward Theatre and other organizations including Waipahu Community Coalition and Hawaii’s Plantation Village.

According to the theatre, members of the Waipahu community are encouraged to audition, as the production team hopes to cast the majority of roles with area residents.

The Waipahu Project is directed by Ashley De Moville and written by Leeward student Kristyn Trombetta. It still is in the final stages of creation, and more information can be found online at playbuilders.org.
