To Market, To Market At KCC
The popular Saturday morning farmers market at Kapiolani Community College has added Tuesday evening shopping on a trial basis, offering a variety of vendors with fruits, produce, houseplants, ice cream and more.
KCC’s Saturday market from 7:30 to 11 a.m. is virtually packed from opening to closing, so the Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation decided to bring on the Tuesday event, open from 4 to 7 p.m. weekly in parking lot C through at least Aug. 14.
The layout also is set up a bit differently – laid out more like a grocery store with produce, vegetables and fruits in selected aisles to make shopping a bit quicker and more efficient. There are fewer vendors but still plenty to choose from including: Hawaii Ranchers, Vilath Farm, Mari’s Garden, PIT Farms, Ho Farms, Nalo Farms, Wow Farms, HSN Farms, Chef Hardy, Madre Chocolate, Cold Frye, Kato Fish, Black Sand Catering, Hui in the Pot, Guava Smoked, Hawaiian Cheese-cake, 3 Ladies, Inferno Pizza, KCC Culinary Students, Honolulu Burger Co., Aikane Plantation, Zaratez Mexicatessen, Kiba Cafe, Flavor Waves, SKA Tropicals, Growing Creations, Kogachi, Greenpoint Nursery, Hale Ahi, Olomana Tropicals, as well as new featured vendors each week.
