Time To Sign Up Keiki For Kindergarten

Parents are being urged to register their keiki for kindergarten or pre-kindergarten now for the next school year, which begins Aug. 5.

Children who are 5 years old by Aug. 1 are eligible for grade K, while those who turn 5 by Dec. 31 can enter junior-K. Neither class is mandatory in Hawaii.

Some schools have completed their open registration period, while others host parent orientations. For details, contact the nearest school or call the Windward District office at 233-5700 for help. The 2012-2013 school year ends May 24.
