The Return Of The Droid RAZR
Several years have passed since I last owned a RAZR phone. Back then it was a small flip phone that was just a little bigger than a credit card. But then it disappeared off the face of the planet. Last year Motorola quietly resurrected the RAZR brand, and recently a new line of Droid RAZRs have been made available with Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network.
Building on the DROID RAZR legacy, the new DROID RAZR HD expands the innovation with a new 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD display that allows movies, photos, magazines and your web-sites to appear with vivid clarity. DROID RAZR HD provides you with 78 percent more pixels for a more vibrant display and features 40 percent greater battery capacity than the original DROID RAZR.
Packed with the same leading features as DROID RAZR HD, the DROID RAZR MAXX HD raises the industry standard for battery life with 32 hours of normal use. The DROID RAZR MAXX HD is remarkably thin, yet packs sufficient battery power for 13 hours of straight video playback, enough to watch a movie trilogy without needing a charge.
You’ll have enough battery life to talk the day away with up to 21 hours of continuous talk time or browse the Web on 4G LTE for up to a full eight hours. It comes with an 8-megapixel camera with an LED flash and 1080p HD recording, front-facing camera for video chatting and a microSD card slot with support for up to 32 GB. Additionally it is business ready with enterprise grade security and data encryption, remote wipe, complex password support, IPsec multi-headed VPN client and Microsoft Exchange Active Sync support. On top of that you can make it into a Mobile Hotspot, sharing the 4G connection with up to eight Wi-Fi devices.
The new DROID RAZRs run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system (upgradeable to Android 4.1 by end of 2012), and come with the Chrome browser, Google Play, Google Maps, Voice Actions for Android (voice control), Google+ and YouTube.

Blade Guardian is another local-grown app from Mistwalker Corporation, the same company that brought us the Party Wave app. It’s a tower defense real-time strategy game. You setup units with different capabilities to prevent invasion by enemy aliens.
The game takes place over multiple stages set on floating chunks of land in different configurations. Your job is to keep the enemies (space bugs) from reaching the base by constructing obstacles and ordinance-flinging towers along their path. You can construct walls for very little cost, as opposed to exclusively using your towers for this task. On top of the wall and tower building, pods will occasionally float in from the sides of the screen. If the pods are destroyed it will release a Blade, which will tear through your enemies in an attempt to reach their nest and kill it with fire.
