Taste The Flavors Of Waipahu

The ninth annual Taste of Waipahu street festival is set for 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, with plenty of food, rides, games, prizes and entertainment for all ages.

Sponsored by Waipahu Community Association, the free festival drew nearly 11,000 people last year and is centered on Waipahu Depot Street and in the Waipahu Festival Marketplace parking lot.

While vendors will sell a variety of food favorites to the crowd, the event also serves as a collection point for donations of non-perishable items to supply the town’s own food pantries.

Island Storm will entertain on stage, and a free drawing is planned for a trip for two to Las Vegas from Vacations Hawaii.
