Susan Miyamoto Wins A $250 Safeway Shopping Spree

On Monday, Susan Miyamoto needed to get some groceries for dinner, so she took a trip to Safeway in Mililani. As she made her purchase at 1 p.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Susan with a simple question. She answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Safeway shopping spree.

“I like shopping at Safeway because I like the selection and deals,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a retired teacher. “Also, the staff is very helpful.”

Susan was born and raised in Kalihi, and lives in Mililani with husband Melvin. She has two grown children and enjoys crafting, including knitting, sewing, quilting and crocheting. She also likes to read MidWeek.

“I love the colorful food ads, the Poll and Ron’s column,” she said. “I also like that it covers local issues, and the cover stories always feature prominent people and organizations in the community. And I always look at the Mystery Shopper and think, oh, they’re so lucky.”
