Surfriders’ Fine Arts To Shine Tonight At School
Kailua High School will showcase the teen talent being nurtured within its World Language Fine Arts Department from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight (Nov. 12) in the school cafeteria.
The annual “Celebration of the Arts” is a free public event featuring the KHS Hawaiian Ensemble and concert band, an art gallery, language displays and videos, and samplings of cookies baked by the school’s culinary class.
For those who cannot attend tonight’s show, many of these creations will be on view through mid-December at Agnes’ Portuguese Bake Shop. According to visual arts teacher Noni Floyd, the general arts class also displayed its works recently in Windward Art Guild’s membership show at Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden.
