Summer Full Of Acting And Dancing
The Performing Arts Center of Kapolei, which produces plays and musicals during the school year, will conduct a summer program of acting and dance workshops.
Offerings include a Children’s Introduction to Theatre and Stage Workshop, which teaches theater basics to ages 5 and up and features energetic warm-ups, group games and acting exercises. The class meets at 3 p.m. June 3-7. Fee is $125.
The Dance Master Class Workshop for ages 11-18 teaches ballet, tap and jazz. It also will help students hone choreography skills in as fast-paced environment. It meets at 1 p.m. June 3-7 for a $125 fee.
In addition to these workshops, PACK students also will have the opportunity to perform in Disney’s The Aristocats Kids. Students will practice singing, acting and dancing – all culminating in a final performance at 7 p.m. June 28. Practice runs from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, June 10-28. Fee is $275.
Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
