Serving Hawaii, Giving Back
By Elisabeth Galvin

If you’ve flown on Hawaiian Airlines in recent years, chances are you have been touched in some way by Airmarket USA.
Founded in 2006, Airmarket is an independent company devoted to providing complete in-flight services to enhance the passenger experience. We work with local producers and high-quality name-brand and boutique manufacturers to offer the best products and superior services to our clients. Our company motto: “Together we can do more!”

Hawaiian gave us the first opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities in 2010, and I will forever be grateful. We provide its in-flight economy meals made with wholesome, all-natural ingredients.
Hawaiian also has inspired us to give back to the local community. My daughter Gina and I feel such a strong connection to Hawaii. One of the highest compliments I’ve ever received was when a local businessman and I discussed our mutual commitment to serving the Hawaii community, Airmarket has partnered with Honolulu Community Action Program, which provides opportunities and inspiration to children, adults, seniors and families through education, employment, housing and support services programs such as HCAP Head Start, District Service Centers, Ha Initiative: After-School Creative STEM Program, Youth Services, and Kumuhonua Transitional Housing Program.
In 2011, Airmarket donated 1,000 meals, face painting and, along with Hawaiian Airlines, a grand prize trip for two to Maui, at the sixth annual Waianae Keiki Spring Fest. Gina was so inspired by this event, she wrote a poem, Happy Faces, and also created her own Lei Day fundraiser at her school. She sold leis and raised $2,000 for HCAP.
Today 1,000 Thanksgiving meals will arrive from Airmarket to be donated to HCAP. I believe it’s so important to share the fruit of your work. Airmarket and my family embrace this philosophy.
