Say Hello To ‘Goodbye Girl’
The curtain goes up on Neil Simon’s Goodbye Girl May 24 at Diamond Head Theatre, where “an unlikely romance” between a single mom and an opinionated actor will unfold through June 9.
Playing the leads are Tricia Marciel as ex-Broadway dancer Paula McFadden, who is unlucky in love; Pedro Haro as actor Elliot Garfield, who is new to New York, and Stephanie Zaharis as McFadden’s precocious 12-year-old daughter Lucy – all sharing a small apartment.
John Rampage is director and choreographer of the show, which features familiar songs by Marvin Hamlisch and is sponsored by Sheraton Waikiki, Ace Medical and Aloha Petroleum.
Shows run Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., with matinees at 3 p.m. June 1 and 8, and 4 p.m. June 2 and 9. The 4 p.m. June 2 show is an interpreted and described performance, followed by a free “talk back” discussion with the cast. For tickets, call 733-0274.
