Robert Hoxie Wins A $150 Spree At Foodland
On a recent Tuesday, Robert Hoxie’s wife sent him to get groceries, so he went to Foodland in Ewa. As he made his purchase at noon, MidWeek‘s representative approached Robert with a simple question. He answered correctly and instantly won a $150 Foodland shopping spree.
“I like shopping at Foodland because I like the service here and the convenience,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, who is retired from the Naval Shipyard. “It’s in my neighborhood and they’re open 24 hours a day.”
Robert was born in New York and moved to Hawaii when he was 10 years old. He graduated from Kahuku High School in 1968, and is a U.S. Air Force veteran. A sports enthusiast, Robert enjoys football and volunteering for baseball leagues. He also likes to read MidWeek.
“I’ve been waiting for many years to be the MidWeek Mystery Shopper,” he said. “I go through the whole newspaper. I enjoy getting all the ads and I like the West Oahu Islander community paper inside.”
