Rep. Cabanilla Now Floor Leader

State Rep. Rida Cabanilla, who serves Ocean Pointe, West Loch, Ewa Gentry, Ewa Villages and Ewa Beach, recently was selected as the new majority floor leader for the House of Representatives.

Cabanilla previously served as chairwoman of the Committee on Housing and the Committee on International Affairs. Cabanilla’s accomplishments include passing measures dealing with public housing reforms, affordable rentals and senior housing. Prior to joining the House of Representatives, Cabanilla was a lieutenant colonel in the U. S. Army and a registered nurse.

“The confidence of my colleagues in my selection as floor leader is inspiring, and I will continue to collaborate and work hard to serve the best interests of my constituents and the state of Hawaii,” stated Rep. Cabanilla.
