Recycling In Kahuku Set For Sept. 28

Kahuku High School will host an Aloha ‘Aina recycling drive from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 28 on campus, and contributions from the public are welcome.

The drive accepts scrap metal (including bicycles), computer and game systems, all types of batteries, used cooking oil, printer and toner cartridges, used appliances, paper, HI-5 containers, corrugated cardboard, used clothing and household items. Access Management also will be on site to shred confidential documents.

A partnership of Schnitzer Steel and the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, the drive’s cash proceeds will benefit the school.
