Recognizing Library Employees

The Friends of the Library of Hawaii is calling for nominations for your favorite public library employees for its annual Librarian of the Year and Excellence in Service awards program.

The awards recognize exemplary service at local libraries.

Winners will earn gift certificates from Native Books/Na Mele Hawaii and the Friends of the Library of Hawaii’s Makana Akamai program to purchase books for the winner’s branch. The awards also will include gift certificates for librarians to purchase books for their own use.

Nominations are due Aug. 31, and forms are available at public library branches throughout the state and Native Books/Na Mele Hawaii at Ward Warehouse. Forms and more information also are online at friendsofthelibraryofhawaii.org.
