Queen’s West To Host Open House Saturday

The highly anticipated opening of The Queen’s Medical Center-West Oahu is now just a few days away. The renovated facility opens its doors to patients beginning at 8 a.m. May 20, and to celebrate, it will offer a Community Open House from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 17 at its 91-2141 Fort Weaver Road location in Ewa Beach.

“Our Queen’s ohana is looking forward to serving our state and most importantly the West Oahu community,” stated Susan Murray, senior vice president of The Queen’s Health Systems, West Oahu Region, and chief operating officer of The Queen’s Medical Center-West Oahu. “Everyone has been working hard together as a team, and we are ready to provide our patients with access to quality health care at a state-ofthe-art facility without having to travel into Honolulu.”

The grand opening will feature hospital tours, music, health and wellness booths, prizes and more.

Services available at the hospital will include emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, imaging, cardiology and specialty clinics. There will be 80 beds available initially – a figure that ultimately will increase to 135.
