Pumpkins Galore At Holy Nativity
If Holy Nativity School says it’s going to have a Great Pumpkin Festival, believe it.
“We’re going to have 2,000 pumpkins on our playground field,” said parent Tiffany Chaiko. “We wanted to bring the Aloun Farm pumpkin patch experience closer to town.”
The festival will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 19 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at the school, offering “the largest pumpkin patch in East Honolulu” along with contests, prizes, craft booths, hands-on activities, entertainment, food booths, a country store and, of course, the pumpkins. At the festival’s conclusion, there will be a drive-thru pickup for all those who have pre-purchased the pumpkins.
The goal of the event is to showcase what the school has to offer and raise needed funds to support it. And to have fun with pumpkins.
