Pumpkin Picking In October
Waimanalo Country Farms is ready for fall and will open its pumpkin patch to the public every weekend in October.
The family farm’s fourth annual Fall Harvest and Pumpkin Patch will offer pumpkin picking, hayrides, animals, games, food, a sunflower maze, country market and free-squeezed lemonade from its own lemon trees. Admission is free, with a small fee for activities. Watermelons also should be available.
Located across from Waimanalo Beach Park at 41-225 Lupe St., the farm specializes in Dakota Super Sweet corn, which it sells off of its corn truck or at farmers markets, including the one at Windward Mall. It recently was recognized as Business of the Week by the Leeward Community College farmers market.
The harvest fun is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in October.
