Philippine Consulate Parol Festival
The Philippine Consulate hosted an inaugural Christmas Lantern, or “Parol,” Lighting Ceremony Nov. 30, launching a two-week festival. Consulate General Julius Torres and the Philippine Celebrations Coordinating Committee of Hawaii arranged the celebration to provide the diverse ethnic communities of Hawaii a glimpse into how Filipinos celebrate the holidays.
