During the last academic year, Windward CC Early College counselors made personal visits to high schools to deliver informa- tion to seniors about schol- arships, financial aid, and on- and off-campus jobs. Windward public and char- ter high schools helped get information to students and encouraged them to apply.
Windward CC announced a $1 million fundraising drive to support student scholarships at a 50th anni- versary kickoff event in Sep- tember.
According to school offi- cials, some of these gains can be attributed to the Hoʻolei Tuition Award program, which provides full tuition for the first year for 2022 graduates of public and charter schools in Windward Oʻahu.
