“In 2008, I put free ads in MidWeek and The Honolulu Advertiser to solicit singers for the first practice of the Windward Choral Society,” McCreary Duprey recollects. “The goal was to focus on ‘ohana and the joy of music.
Choir members weathered the pandemic by practicing on Zoom and outdoors, and now they rehearse in person again on Tuesday evenings at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall in Kai- lua. It’s a non-auditioned cho- rus, holding two open houses at the start of fall and spring.

Limited handicap parking will be available at the hospital. All other parking will be at the Kailua Parking Garage, the 3-level parking garage in front of Longs Drugs in Kailua Town Center.
