Parade organizers explain that drivers can still get around Kāne‘ohe if they know side streets. For instance, those who live on the Kalāheo side of Castle High School and want to get to one of the tun- nels or Kahekili Highway can take Mokulele Drive across from Bayview Golf Course up to Kamehameha Highway.
Likelike Highway or H-3. Those who need to get to Kāne‘ohe Bay Shopping Cen- ter can take Kāne‘ohe Bay Drive, turn right onto Pū‘ōha- la Street and turn left onto Pua ʻĪnia. At the Kamehameha Highway intersection, turn right. Turn right at Waikalua Road at the police station, and at the fork in the road stay left on Waikapoki, and turn left onto Wailele Road. At the stop sign, turn right onto Lilipuna Street. If motorists follow the road, they will come out at Kāne‘ohe Bay shopping

Once at the Kamehameha Highway traffic light, driv- ers can turn left to reach Pali Highway or turn right for the other tunnels and Kahekili Highway. At Luluku Road (Ko‘olau Farmers), motorists can make a left at the light, proceed down Luluku and turn right onto ‘Ano‘i Road at the stop sign. At the traf- fic light, vehicles will be on Likelike Highway, and they can turn left and have a choice of taking Kahekili Highway,
