Windward O‘ahu state Rep. Lisa Kitagawa re- ports that, on Sept. 1, she had opportunity to cele- brate the 85th anniversary of the Koʻolaupoko Ha- waiian Civic Club at its annual scholarship benefit and awards presentation luncheon. This year, the club honored four individu- als with the Helen C. Kane Award, which recognizes recipients for their out- standing service to the club.
