Recently, the North Shore has been below average but it’s still fun even when it’s just 3 or 4 feet. The South Shore has been above sea- sonal averages but that doesn’t mean sizeable — it just means rideable — for example, 2 maybe 3 feet. We need to adjust our ex- pectations in this sport a lot and we learn to make the most of what we’ ve got. It’s a good, but sometimes tough, life lesson.
