  Kālama Cleanup Is A Success
A student-led organization and club at Punahou School, WeGo!, set up a cleanup at Kālama Beach Park on July 24. Fifty volunteers removed 300 pounds of trash. WeGo! (Women Empowerment in Global Opportunities) has a mission to foster strong and independent female leaders, and through its beach cleanup, the organization was able to promote both sustainability
and female student businesses through providing coupons and treats to participants in an effort to highlight those student entrepreneurs. For more information about WeGo!, visit wegohawaii.org or email 808wego@gmail. com. (Clockwise from top) Sonya Duval-Arnould, Kylee Hamamoto, Avery Mapes and Anja Hostetler helped organize the cleanup; Some of the volunteers gathered for a group photo; Kai Im, Joanna Sato and Sara Freestone sifted for microplastics.
