Filipino Community Center Throws A Big ‘Fiesta’ In Waipahu

Throwing a spring fiesta — or party — is a Filipino tradition. The rainy season gives big reason to celebrate, with tons of food and song offerings in hopes of bringing about a bountiful harvest. On May 14, residents are wel- come to visit Waipahu’s Fili- pino Community Center as it hosts its 30th Filipino Fiesta in conjunction with its 20th anniversary.
