Society’s Annual Mission PAWSible Contest Opens For Teens

     Listen up, West O‘ahu teens: Hawaiian Humane So- ciety is currently accepting submissions from those in grades 6-12 for its annual Mission PAWsible Contest and, this year, the focus is on the organization’s highly antici- pated ‘Ewa Beach campus.
     Currently under construction, Hawaiian Humane’s second location (its flagship facility is in Mō‘ili‘ili) will provide the west side with much-needed services. To cel- ebrate this, the nonprofit is asking young people to illus- trate their excitement for the upcoming facility.
Entries will be accepted in the following cate- gories:
        • traditional art (drawing, painting)
Teens in grades 6-12
are invited to submit artwork that depicts their excitement for Hawaiian Humane Society’s upcoming ‘Ewa Beach campus. PHOTOS COURTESY HAWAIIAN HUMANE SOCIETY
• digital art (photography series, video, graphic design, animation)
 • creative writing (poetry, short story)
• 3D art (ceramic, wood, metal, sewing, etc.). There will be a total of six grand prize winners who will receive a $150 Visa gift card and a Hu-
mane Achievement Award.
The deadline to submit is May 8. Visit
