Kuchar recently complet- ed an art suite for the Hurley Pro at Sunset Beach, a pres- tigious World Surf League surfing event held at Pipeline. He explains that these and similar large events provide a fun outlet to showcase his art and other merchandise for the public to enjoy.
Kuchar is the current 2021-2022 artist in residence at Four Seasons O‘ahu at Ko ‘Olina.
“We have occasional events where I can meet guests and share my artis- tic process with them,” he says. “I also have art exhib- ited throughout the lobby and elsewhere on property.”
“It was a dream job and I always enjoy new projects that challenge me and give me opportunities to look for new inspiration,” Kuchar says. “In the early days of my career, I created travel prints to celebrate our favor- ite Hawai‘i locations and that has grown to me leading a creative studio where we of- fer much more than just art- work.”
